Bramd ( “Bra – amd” ) is the deity of law and order. Bramd is one of the oldest gods of Alduras. Born of the All Father after the first breaking of the world, Bramd was created to be the balance between Ariel and Demos. Bramd is just and fair to all who follow the laws of the gods, and lands. He is swift in his vengeance and retribution to those who see fit to break those laws. Bramd rarely walks in the land of mortals. When he does he appears as a middle aged man with salt and pepper hair and beard. Strong built wearing sturdy chain and plate armor, with a greatsword strapped to his back. He sees fit to visit only a few of his most trusted clergy, and passes down his orders to them. His time is mostly spent keeping balance between the constantly warring gods, including his wife Ariel, goddess light and goodness.
With his wife Ariel, Bramd has 3 children. The oldest are twins Dela’ Dorn and Lorphen. His youngest child is Elathea.
Dogma:
Bramd is wise, practical, patient, and above all else diligent. His followers try to exemplify these same qualities in themselves. He believes that no one is above the laws of men and gods. All are accountable in the eyes of the “Order Bringer”. He believes faith is a privilege and should be treated as such. This leaves no room for backsliding in faith among his followers.
Clergy and Temples:
Order Bringers of Bramd are stern and diligent in their duties. They train constantly in the arts of warfare, and combat. They are a military order that roam the lands of Alduras, enforcing the laws of the lands and Bramd. They are heavily based in the lands of Gracia, where the Order Bringers are looked upon with awe and respect. They have chapter houses across almost the entire continent, and while they are tolerated in other countries, it is only because each kingdom knows that to interfere with an Order Bringer and his holy duty is as good as a declaration of war by the god Bramd himself. Older members of the order serve on even past their prime years of combat readiness. They serve as judges, military tacticians, as well as trainers to the younger initiates into the order. All chapter houses and churches of Bramd are defensive in nature, save the church to the holy family in the Peaceful Vale near the college of Calydor.
