Pandora is the daughter of Fitztier and Azmodia. That is a story unto itself, but suffice it to say that Fitztier pressed his luck and for good or ill a daughter was one of the outcomes. To cut it short, Fitztier was trying to ‘attain’ some of Azmodia’s power, but instead of taking it into himself, it broke off and became Pandora.
Pandora is like a teenager full of angst in a broken home. With her godly parentage endorsing chaos in all its forms, her rebellion was not unforeseen. Her human heritage through her father has intrigued her and she spends an inordinate amount of time (for a deity) in the realm of mortals. She also detests being worshipped, but is strangely attentive to some of her worshippers as she sees a kindred spirit in some of them.
Dogma:
As a chaotic being, Pandora’s dogma is as likely to change as not. Blessed with seeing the infinite outcomes of the future but not being able to clearly define what actions lead to which outcomes has left her with godly power, but an indecisiveness in its use. She stands at the forks of time and fate.
Pandora, unlike the other gods occasionally walks the face of Alduras. Even when repressed her chaotic nature makes for unusual happenstances to take place around her. Also, her mother Azmodia is constantly searching for her lost power with the intention of either consuming it back into herself, or shaping it to be a tool of her will. Pandora is not thrilled about either option. Azmodia’s constant searching adds a spike to these chaotic events around her when their powers do cross each other. It usually signals Pandora to make a hasty exit from the area so that her mother cannot bring her full power to bear.
Clergy and Temples:
Pandora’s priests are few, but her casual worshipers are many. Anyone making a tough decision and hoping for a bit of luck in their fate will whisper a prayer to her. Seers of all stations giver her reverence, from the royal viziers to the lowly palm readers.
Much like their mistress, her clerics are mobile. Agents of Azmodia like nothing more than to track them down and do what they can to help find her daughter. As such, no known temples to Pandora exist. The clerics set up shop wherever it suits them at the time, and move on when they feel it is right.
The days at the beginning and end of Frostheim where the weather can’t decide if it is going to be pleasantly warm or bitterly cold are the most sacred to Pandora.
