Elathea is a daughter of Ariel and Bramd. It is said that she has married a minor deity and has produced many offspring. Some say the diety is the Halfling god of autumn Hearthomle, others The Farmer an aspect worshipped in Northern Ceriana. Few agree on just who she married but most would say it is a gentle, kind, worker of the land. Though it is agreed that her children are many, few are known. Legend has it that the wondrous towering trees of the ancient elven forests were some of her first children. Others claim that the fertile fields are her children given to Alduras to nourish its people.

Dogma:

Elathea has taken on a matronly aspect. She sees the world as a place that continuously births little bits of wonder. Her natural instinct is to care for each of these things and to help them grow. While not totally blind to the violence in the world, she cares not for it and ignores it to the best of her ability. Her father, mother, brothers and sisters can handle the more heavy handed clashes. She does what she can to nurture and provide hope to the world of Alduras.

Caring for others, especially friends, family and neighbors is the way Elathea would have the world be. These actions, more than prayers are what she asks of her followers.

Clergy and Temples:

The clergy and temples of Elathia are few and far between. However, many farm houses and some city homes across Forin has a small plaque with the seedling or dove painted on it decorating a wall facing the rising sun.

Clerics and healers, that give reverence to Elathia, come in two varieties. They are either solely dedicated to a small community or they travel between a few doing what they can to help the people and land of their territory.

The few temples to Elathea either resemble or are repurposed farm houses. The windows are left open in the warmer months to let in her mother’s light. In the colder months a crackling fire always heats the meeting room. Services are short in their veneration of Elathea, but people always stay around for hours afterwards sharing each other’s company.

Alduras Homebrew Features: Prestige Class – Hearth Singer of Elathea
The Hearth Singers are a special sect of the church of Elathea. They bring the good tidings of their goddess across the lands. In the gloomy winter months, they can be found in the tap rooms of friendly inns reminding the folk of Twinfeast’s coming renewal and the appreciation they should have in spending a few moments from their busy lives enjoying the warmth of the fire with their families and friends. In the warmer months they travel the land bringing word from village to village and mending the minor hurts they come across. If Bramd’s word is law and Throm’s the blade, then Elathea’s is hope.

Spells per Day/Spells Known: At each Hearth Singer level, the character gains new divine spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if he had also gained a level in a divine spellcasting class to which she belonged before adding the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.

Bardic Music: A Hearth Singer adds her singer level to her bard level to determine the number of times per day she can use her bardic music, the bardic music abilities she can employ, and the power of those abilities.

Melodic Casting: A Hearth Singer may substitute a Perform check for a Concentration check whenever it would be required to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability (such as when you cast defensively or are distracted or injured while casting).
In addition, you can cast spells and activate magic items by command word or spell completion while using a bardic music ability. Bardic music abilities that require concentration still take a standard action to perform.
Aura of Hope: Beginning at 3rd level, a Hearth Singer and all allies within 10 feet of her gain a +2 morale bonus on all Will saving throws.

Bonus Domain: Upon gaining 5th level, a character gains access to a bonus domain of her choice. The character can choose any domain made available by her deity or alignment. The character gains the granted power associated with the domain she chooses, and can select the spells in that domain as her daily domain spells.
