Lorphen is the twin of Dela’dorn. Where her brother is the persecutor of injustice and the hammer to crush evil, she is the mediator. Where Dela’dorn takes after his mother, Ariel, Lorphen takes after her father, Bramd.

Dogma:

Lorphen is peace incarnate. Even in the raging battle of good and evil, light and dark, she is centered. There can be compromise in all things. If both sides are willing to make small sacrifices then they can each achieve greater gains. She believes that no one is all bad, but if one is unwilling to try to understand another’s position, then their soul will find it difficult to find peace. Everyone has a reason for what they do, and understanding that can make confrontations much less climactic. Negotiation, compromise, and cooperation are her statutes. Through them one can find peace with their surroundings and those they interact with.

Another aspect of this goddess is that of joy and pleasure. Not that of the hedonic, but those who accept their place in the world and able to find joy and happiness being who and what they are. It is the joy of contentment and acceptance.

Clergy and Temples:
Lorphen’s following is not extensive. A few lawyers, ambassadors, and judges claim her as their god. Mostly her name is invoked before trade negotiations and during the settling of border disputes.

A handful of her clergy are highly sought after negotiators. They have ended wars and bargained trade agreements that for the most part left all parties happier than they thought possible without a clear victory.

The few temples dedicated to Lorphen are uncomplicated affairs with simple bits of artwork or plants that are beautiful in their minimalistic ways.
