History
In the beginning the mercenary group was known as Keldan’s Golden Blades. It was a small group of like minded men most veterans of the hundred year war in Gracia. After a uneasy peace came between the divided land alot of the soldiers had no homes to go back to. Many took up as adventures and mercenaries selling their skill with sword to who ever could keep them feed. The group was led by Keldan a former Gracian Captain. Keldan wanted to be free of the war and the people who waged it, so he and a few close friends took off the see the world and earn some gold in the process. But things don’t always go according to plan. Keldan was killed off and the leadership passed to his friend Ames. The Gold Blades moved on and found a home in Northern Ceriana. They stayed in Ceriana for about 40 years making a name for themselves aiding in the protection and eventual freedom of the north. The band split at this point. Many members stayed and help form the starting military of Northern Ceriana. The rest moved on into the east to the land of a hundred kingdoms. By now the group of mercenaries was known as The Grey Band. They moved through the kingdoms gaining a new reputation as more hired thugs than mercs. Eventually the band had a inner struggle as two brothers Nko and Thayn who led it had a falling out over methods and ethics. The band was nearly detroyed by the civil in fighting and eventually the brothers split. Niko left and is rummored to have started the famed assassians guild “The Red Hand”. Thayn took the band back into what he thought the original mindset of the band was. Men trying to make a living while doing what good they could in the world. The band never grew very large but their glories were praised where ever they ventured. Then the band found something they were not expecting, a home. They were awarded something unheard of a mercenary guild….Land! Thayn died while stopping a assassination attempt on the life of king Vernall Akton of Erandom. The king awarded the band a piece of his land as thanks and gratitude for their bravery and sacrifice. Thayn’s friend and second in command took over the guild and settled them in their new home at Fallsk Keep and re dubbed the guild The Band of the Black Wolf in honor of his friend Thayn “The Wolf” Wertz. Since that time The Band of the Black Wolf has been run by Jared’s family going back four generations to Jared’s great grandfather..Thomas “Lucky” Black. Today Jared runs the guild in honor of his late brother “Chance” who died while trying to bring back the glory that was once the band in their childhood days.

The place where the wolves rest their weary heads is called the Den.

    • Option to sweeten the pot: assistance with building homes (see helpful player abilities under repair the roof)
    • Further pot sweetening: Sign on bonus

Druid Grove / Library
A naturally grown building in the center of a circle of trees that houses the scrolls, books, and collected animal/monster remains.
